FIFe breedstandard of the German Rex.
The German Rex is recognised by FIFe in 1982.
Body:
Of medium length and strong and muscular, not massive or coarse. Strong rounded chest, straight back.
Head:
Rounded with good breath between the ears, well developed cheecks. Noseline has a slight indentation at the base. Strong chin.
Ears:
Medium large, wide at the base, slightly rounded tips.
Eyes:
Medium in size and well opened. Set at a good distance from the nose.
Brilliant and harmonising with coat colour.
Legs:
Medium length, rounded feet.
Tail:
Medium length, substantial base tapering to a rounded tip.
Coat:
Short and velvety, soft and very silky. Density varies from a thin, soft to a thick uppercoat, wavy or curly.
